About

Ok, so what the hell is flashalisious all about? Well that is a really great questions. I wish that I had a really smart intelligent answer for you. Let me try my best to sum this up for you. From the moment that I saw flash content I was hooked. I love flash. There is so much that you can do with it. The possibilities are only limited by your skills. So I wanted a place that I could talk about flash. Show flash stuff that I am working on and a place that I can write about what I am learning to do in flash.

I hope that this blog turns into more than just a blog. I am not sure where it will go from here but we will see.

Enough about that! What about me…. Well I am not usually one to talk about myself but here goes.

My history with flash:

The first time that I ever installed Flash was during Flash Version 5. I don’t remember much about Flash 5 at all. The only thing that I ever did was install it on my the Windows ME box. Bla, yuck! Yes I hate to say it but I was not much of a geek at that point in my life and at the time I did not know any better and used Windows ME on an HP pavilion computer. Wow, I have to say that I have come a long way. I love my PowerMac G5! :-)

I remember poking around around with Flash 5 but I was really intimidated by it. I could draw a circle and I thought man I can make a gradient shape, that was pretty cool to me. Anyway I was not a programmer and I was beryl a designer at the time so I gave up on the whole Flash thing for a wile.

Next time I used Flash was during Flash MX… I had been designing sites for a wile. I was not a full time web guy yet but I wanted to be. I felt that Flash was the way to go. So I was determined to jump in and start learning. First time I tweened something across the stage really hooked me. I thought that was totally cool.

Now I am by no means a Flash guru. I would consider myself between intermediate and advanced. I guess it all depends on what anyone would consider and advanced user. I would consider you advanced if you can code actionscript like crazy and make as much of the move do what you want without having to do a lot of tweening from the timeline. So that is my goal at this point. I am more of a WYSIWYG kind of designer but I am really trying to work on becoming a better actionscript programmer.

I guess I would say that is enough about me. I am sure I have some learning or designing to do so I will get back to my life know and say that I hope that you enjoy the blog and some of the work that I post and I hope you become involved with this community Flash designers and developers.
